Ellie got her fist taste of set-life as a contestant on the BBC’s Junior Bakeoff in 2014. As fun as making showstopping deserts was, it was the production around her that captured her attention. She knew from then, she wanted to be a part of the film and TV world.

Since Ellie’s graduation from NYFA, she has continued to attend various acting classes in California, The Royal Conservetoire in Glasgow, and most recently The Unseen and LSBU in London. But enjoying it once or twice a week in classes is simply not enough, especially when there is so much still to learn. Ellie wants to wake up every morning and have the privilege of doing what she loves–Act.

Ellie’s voice training has primarily been founded in the work of Kristin Linklater and Cicely Berry, but she is very interested in extending her understanding of Nadine George’s technique. Similarly, the movement work of Leqoc and Brecht is something she has only read about, and is excited to explore dynamically in workshops.

As a fresh graduate from NYFA in 2022, Ellie quickly realised that opportunities were not going to be dropped at her feet– she had to make them happen. Ellie and a few classmates took the initiative to use all their newly equipped skills to write, produce and act in a self created web series which has been published online. Like every production, Ellie learned a lot on set. While executing every position on set between just five of them was an epic challenge, it only heightened her appreciation for projects where she have the luxury of focusing fully on acting.
